This is our preliminary clip that we created in class. This was test our camera skills and also to see where we needed improvement. The shots we tested where the 180 degree rule, shot reverses shot and match on action shot. I thought the most difficult thing was keeping the camera still while filming. Editing the film together was pretty straight forward. While filming we followed the 180 degree rule, it was fairly easy as we just ensured we didn’t cross that invisible line we had created for ourselves.

The match on action shot we used was very hard because we had to make it look seamless. The reason this was hard was because our actor had to look like they were doing the exact same thing as they were doing in the previous shot. We tried to make it look professional. Shot reverse shot between both actors when they are having convocation with each other.

If I was to do this task again, I would have tried to make the shots a little smoother with the editing by including fades and more shots. Some shots were also very dark so I would have put artificial lighting in to create a more polished look to the clip.

I think the match on action shot worked extremely well. Our actor moved seamlessly in to each shot which was exactly what I wanted.
